The Prizes!

Prizes of the 1st International Sándor Végh String Quartet Competition:

 

 

1st prize: was not awarded

2nd prize: the jury has decided to award two equivalent 2nd prizes (of 12.000 euros each) for the Kelemen Kvartett (H) and for the Benyounes Quartet (UK)

3rd prize: was not awarded

 

Special prizes 

A Special prize (6000 euros) for the best interpretation of the Haydn quartet was awarded to Belenusquartett (CH).

A Special prize (6000 euros) for the best interpretation of the Lajtha quartet was awarded to Cantabile Quartet  (UK). 

 

The Public's Prize was awarded to Kelemen Kvartett.

 

Further special prizes

A Special prize offered by Artisjus Music Foundation and Akkord Music Publishers for the best interpretation of Péter Tornyai's MOON-ZOOM (the compulsory piece of the competition) was awarded to Benyounes Quartet (UK).:  

Special prize of Association ProQuartet of France was awarded to Benyounes Quartet (UK).        

Specila Prize of Fidelio Média Kft offered for the best Hungarian ensemble was awarded to the Kelemen Kvartett.

 

The József Károlyi Foundation offered to Accord Quartet (HU) a Paris concert to be held at the Hungarian Institute.

For the outstanding interpretation of Szervánszky's string quartet the Szervánszky Quartet receive the prezent of  Thomastik-Infeld Wien and of the Budapest Music Center

 

Several concert agencies offered prestigious concert invitations for the prizewinners quartets.
